Meet Jess
Raised in Tarrant County, Jess Gambrell’s path to criminal defense began far from the courtroom. Before becoming an attorney, he spent a decade in the logistics industry, gaining real-world experience that shaped his perspective and deepened his ability to understand and relate to people from all backgrounds.
Over the years, Jess has built a career dedicated to defending the accused and upholding the principles of fairness and justice. His extensive experience as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney gives him a balanced understanding of how cases are developed, prosecuted, and defended.
Jess previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in Tarrant County and as an Assistant County Attorney in Williamson County, handling a broad range of cases from traffic offenses to capital murder. This work gave him valuable insight into the criminal justice process, including how prosecutors and law enforcement approach investigations and trials.

Jess earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pitzer College. He is admitted to practice in Texas and the Eastern District of the United States and is a member of the Texas Bar College and the Tarrant County Bar Association.
